Not the Strongest Fan for the Price, Hoping the Battery Makes Up for It

I bought the Smart Handheld Fan 2 with Light Base as a birthday gift for a friend, and overall, it feels like a fairly cost-efficient option — with a few important considerations. While the price is reasonable, it’s worth noting that you can find stronger handheld fans with more power and airflow for about KES 400 less on platforms like Jumia and in stores such as Miniso. Because of that, I’m really hoping the value of this fan justifies itself through its battery life and charging capability, which is where it seems to position itself as superior. I like the packaging — it’s neat, presentable, and gift-appropriate. I also like the handle; it feels comfortable and well-designed. However, I don’t like that the handle isn’t adjustable, which limits flexibility in use. One thing I found confusing is that the fan did not come with a charging cable, which would have been a great addition and made the product feel more complete. On the plus side, I do appreciate that the fan lights up while charging, which makes it easy to tell its charging status. The fan does work well, but it is noticeably noisy, especially when compared to other handheld fans in this category. Since this was purchased as a gift, I’m still waiting to hear feedback from the recipient once they’ve used it for some time. I’ll update this review after that, particularly regarding whether the battery life holds up as stated on the packaging — that will ultimately determine whether the price truly makes sense.
